Troy Omeire flips commit to Texas

4 star wide receiver Troy Omeire has flipped his commitment from Texas A&M to Texas.

The 6-3, 210 pound Omeier, from Austin High School in Fort Bend TX, who chose Texas A&M back in June, has flipped his commit to Texas. Alabama, LSU, and other schools had extended him an offer as well.

Omeire is rated as the nation's No. 188 player overall and the No. 29 prospect in Texas.

A two-time first-team All-District selection, Omeire has 85 receptions for 1,546 yards and 21 touchdowns in two varsity season. As a junior in 2018, Omeire caught 46 passes for 804 yards and 13 touchdowns in 10 games for the Bulldogs.

Omeire made this summer's The Opening Finals event with his performance at The Opening Regional in Houston back in March. At the regional, Omeire ran a 4.69 40-yard dash, posted a 4.37 shuttle time and recorded a 32.5-inch vertical jump.
