Darius Maddox commits to Virginia Tech

4 star guard Darius Maddox has committed to Virginia Tech.

The 6-4, 180 pound Maddox, who will play for Oak Hill Academy in Mouth of Wilson VA this season, chose Virginia Tech over Cincinnati, Creighton, DePaul, Georgetown, Kansas State, Massachusetts, Oklahoma State, Seton Hall, Temple, and others. Maddox played at St. John's College High School in Washington DC last season.

He is rated the No. 15 guard in the nation and No. 75 overall in the 2020 class.

Playing for Team Durant on the Nike EYBL circuit, Maddox averaged 16.2 points, 3.1 .rebounds and 2.0 assists. Maddox averaged 20 points a game during the Nike Peach Jam.
