Bryce McGowens commits to Nebraska

5 star guard Bryce McGowens has committed to Nebraska.

The 6-6, 175 pound McGowens, from legacy Carter High School in Greenville SC, chose Nebraska over 24 offers.

He is rated the No. 3 guard in the 2021 class and No. 29 overall.

McGowens spent his first three seasons at Wren High School, totaling 1,835 points on 51 percent shooting, 323 rebounds, 220 assists and 126 steals.

A three-time all-state performer and two-time Region 1-AAAA Player of the Year, he is a career 42 percent shooter from 3-point range.

As a junior, McGowens averaged 25.3 points, 6.4 rebounds and 3.1 assists per game while leading the school to a 25-5 record and an appearance in the Class AAAA Upper State championship game appearance.
