Associated Press

MANHATTAN, Kan. - Liz Scott finished with 20 points and eight rebounds and No. 16 Oklahoma breezed to its fourth straight win with an 85-68 victory over Kansas State.

Scott made 8 of 13 shots from the floor and 4 of 6 free throws for the Sooners (20-4, 10-3), who closed within a game of No. 20 Texas in the Big 12 Conference race for first place. She also blocked two shots.

Madi Williams scored 16 on 8-of-10 shooting for Oklahoma. She added five assists and four rebounds, but also had seven of her team’s 20 turnovers. Aubrey Joens pitched in with 11 points and six boards off the bench, while Ana Llanusa scored 10 before fouling out.

Gabby Gregory carried the load for the Wildcats (14-11, 3-9) with 24 points and six rebounds. Gregory hit 6 of 19 shots with two 3-pointers and 10 of 11 free throws. Serena Sundell, along with twin sisters Jaelyn and Brylee Glenn, all scored 12 points and grabbed four rebounds.

Llanusa scored five points and Oklahoma sank 8 of 15 first-quarter shots to grab a 20-15 lead. Scott scored eight of her 12 first-half points in the second quarter and the Sooners took a 41-26 lead into intermission.

Joens came off the bench to score 11 points in the third quarter and the Sooners outscored the Wildcats by eight to take a 68-44 lead into the final period.

Oklahoma's Taylor Robertson, the Division I career leader in 3-pointers made, didn't connect until the fourth quarter when she buried two to push her career total to 513. She finished with seven points. Robertson set a Sooners record with her 141st career start, moving past Danielle Robinson (2008-12) for the top spot.

The Sooners finished a bucket shy of their per game average of 87 points — only Iowa (87.6) averages more. Oklahoma came into the game having topped 90 points in three straight games for the first time in program history.

Oklahoma, which leads the nation averaging 21 assists per game, finished with 27 on 34 baskets against K-State.
