Ogwumike Top Pick In WNBA Draft

STANFORD’s Nnemkadi Ogwumike was selected the No. 1 overall pick in the 2012 WNBA Draft by the Los Angeles Sparks. Ogwumike is the second player in Pac-12 history to be selected at No. 1.

Stanford head coach Tara VanDerveer was named a finalist for the 2012 RUSSELL ATHLETIC/WBCA Division I National Coach of the Year Award. In addition, three Pac-12 players were named to the WBCA All-Region 8 Team.
