Fred Davis II commits to Clemson

5 star cornerback Fred Davis II has committed to Clemson.

The 6-1, 182 pound Davis, from Trinity Christian Academy in Jacksonville FL, chose Clemson over Alabama, Auburn, Florida, Florida State, Georgia, Miami, Notre Dame, Ohio State, Oklahoma, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, and others.

Davis is ranked as the No. 33 overall prospect, the No. 3 cornerback nationally, and the No. 3 prospect from the Sunshine State. 

Named a MaxPreps junior All-American, Davis posted 51 tackles, 14 pass breakups and three interceptions last season for Trinity Christian, who reached the Class 5A state semifinals. Davis also had 12 passes defensed and returned a kickoff 99 yards for a score.
