Carson Beck commits to Georgia

4 star quarterback Carson Beck has committed to Georgia.

The 6-4, 226 pound Beck, from Mandarin High School in Jacksonville FL, chose Georgia over Alabama, Florida, Miami, and others. Beck originally committed to Alabama last June. He decommitted early last month.

Beck was selected Florida's Mr. Football last season and is rated the nation's No. 3 pro-style passer and No. 62 prospect overall.

Beck led the Mustangs to the Class 8A state championship last season. He completed 209 of his 356 attempts as a junior for 3,546 yards, 39 touchdowns and just eight interceptions in 2018. Beck threw five touchdowns in a wild 37-35 win against Miami Columbus. He completed 25 of his 36 attempts for 329 yards in the victory.

He played baseball and football at Providence before that.

Beck plans to enroll early at Georgia.
