Marcus Bingham Jr. commits to Michigan State

4 star forward Marcus Bingham has committed to Michigan State.

The 6-10, 195 pound Bingham, from Grand Rapids Catholic Central High School, chose the Spartans over Butler, Missouri, Ohio State, Pittsburgh, Purdue, VCU, Washington, Xavier, and others.

Bingham is ranked the No. 2 player in the state and No. 79 player in the country according to the 247Sports composite.

Bingham played as a sophomore for Ottawa Hills, before transferring to play his junior season in 2016-17 for Grand Rapids Catholic Central. He was eligible for only half of the season due to transfer rules, but still earned All-State honorable mention honors.

Bingham also plays AAU basketball for Spiece Indy Heat alongside Johns. In 16 games on the Nike circuit this spring, he averaged 8.2 points, 4.8 rebounds and 1.1 blocks.
