Final Score: (6) Boise State 54, Hawaii 9

Honolulu, HI (Sports Network) - Kellen Moore threw a career-high five touchdown passes as sixth-ranked Boise State remained unbeaten with a 54-9 pounding of Hawaii at Aloha Stadium.

Moore completed 18-of-30 passes for 223 yards, while Titus Young had eight receptions for 115 yards and three scores for the Broncos (7-0, 2-0 WAC), who came into the game fourth in the Bowl Championship Series standings behind Florida, Alabama and Texas - teams that all won on Saturday.

Matt Kaiserman rushed for 122 yards and a score, while Jeremy Avery added 72 yards on the ground in the convincing win.

"This a very hard place to play, and I think six turnovers is the reason that we were able to get such a commanding lead," said Boise State coach Chris Petersen. "I give credit to our defense; when we play like that on defense we'll be hard to stop."

Shane Austin connected on 22-of-36 passes for 174 yards with a touchdown, but was picked off three times for the Warriors (2-5, 0-4).

This is the first time Hawaii has dropped five straight games, including a four-game skid in the WAC, since 1998. To make matters worse, Hawaii quarterback Bryant Moniz was injured in the first half and was replaced by Austin.

"You look at the score and some people say a lot of negatives," said Hawaii coach Greg McMackin. "I look for the positives. We only allowed one or two sacks. They are the 16th ranked defense in the country."

Kyle Brotzman kicked a 25-yard field goal just three minutes into the game. The early BSU lead came courtesy of a fumble by Hawaii running back Leon Wright-Jackson.

Moore threw 35 yards to Tyler Shoemaker for a touchdown midway through the opening quarter.

Although Brotzman was wide left on a 42-yard field goal try early in the second, Boise State's Winston Venable forced a fumble, giving the visitors the ball at the Hawaii 14. On the ensuing play, Moore threw to Austin Pettis for a touchdown.

Jeron Johnson picked off Austin on Hawaii's ensuing possession, leading to Moore's 24-yard TD connection to Young. Moore's 10-yard strike to Young made it 31-0 with 1:22 left in the half.

Boise State wasn't done scoring though in the half. Hunter White picked off Austin, setting up Brotzman's 28-yard field goal in the waning seconds.

Brotzman split the uprights from 32 yards in the third, and Moore threw a 48- yard bomb for a TD to Young later in the quarter for a 44-0 margin.

Hawaii finally recorded its first points on a safety thanks to a poor snap.

Johnson came up with another interception in the third quarter and Brotzman kicked a 27-yard field goal in the opening minute of the fourth.

Austin threw a 10-yard TD pass to Jon Medeiros before Kaiserman ran 11 straight times during one drive for the Broncos, finishing the march with a one-yard TD run to account for the final margin.

Game Notes

Boise State has won eight of the last nine encounters. In the last meeting at Aloha Stadium in 2007, Hawaii won 39-27 to snap a six-game losing streak to the Broncos and secure the outright WAC title...The Broncos host San Jose State next Saturday, while the Warriors play at Nevada...Hawaii is 2-12 all- time against teams ranked in the top 10...Greg Salas had nine catches for 90 yards for Hawaii.
