Bowling Green, OH (Sports Network) - Adam Weber totaled four touchdowns to lead the Minnesota Golden Gophers over the Bowling Green Falcons, 42-17, in a non-league affair at Perry Stadium.

Weber converted an efficient 21-of-25 pass attempts for 233 yards and three scores, while also rushing for 13 yards and another touchdown. Duane Bennett paced Minnesota (2-0) with eight catches for 100 yards and a score, while Eric Decker finished with six receptions for 86 yards and a touchdown. Decker also had two carries for 31 yards and another score.

Tyler Sheehan hit on 29-of-44 tosses for 261 yards and a touchdown for BGSU (1-1), which was unable to build off its season-opening upset of Pittsburgh. Corey Partridge was his main target with seven receptions for 70 yards, while Chris Wright added four catches for 57 yards and a score.

The Gophers jumped on the board quickly and posted the only points of the opening quarter courtesy of a 34-yard touchdown pass from Weber to Bennett.

The Falcons knotted the score just under six minutes into the second quarter, as Anthony Turner plunged one yard for a score.

It took Minnesota less than three minutes to respond, as Decker scurried 12 yards for a touchdown.

BGSU's Sinisa Vrvilo hit a 26-yard field goal late in the opening half and the Falcons trailed just 14-10 at the intermission.

The Gophers struck quickly after the break with a seven-yard scoring strike from Weber to Nick Tow-Arnett.

The Falcons responded midway through the third period and made it a 21-17 contests with a Sheehan 27-yard touchdown pass to Wright.

Minnesota, however, took the game over in the fourth quarter, scoring 21 unanswered points for the 42-17 victory. Weber first threw a 28-yard touchdown pass to Decker before rumbling three yards for a score. Shady Salamon ran for a five-yard touchdown late in the game to secure the win.

For the game, the Gophers totaled 397 yards of offense, including 164 on the ground.
