Oklahoma State dismisses forward Thomas
12/09/2008
Ibrahima Thomas is no longer an Oklahoma State Cowboy after head coach Travis Ford dismissed the center from the team on Monday.
According to The Oklahoman, Ford talked to Thomas several times over the last week and came to the conclusion to dismiss him.
The 6-foot-11 Thomas started the first seven games and logged more than 20 minutes per contest, averaging 8.3 points and 3.9 rebounds. Several sources told the newspaper that Thomas quit the team on December 2nd and did not travel with the Cowboys to a road game at Washington last Thursday.
The Cowboys (5-3) lost that game to the Huskies, 83-65, and have dropped three of four overall.
